Should we have reservation system?

Reservation:The act of reserving; a keeping back or withholding.
This is what a dictionary meaning is. But in India if one looks at the present state of education ....well the meaning can be misleading. Here we have reservation for every possible course, university, college. Now 2 of the government's most sacred places for quality educational institutions IIT's and IIM's are being brought into this reservation system.
Government has 101 reasons for this. My suggestion is that "ABOLISH RESERVATIONS IN ANY KIND OR FORM". Teach people the essence of education. Build study centres across the country which prepares the students from backward regions to compete in for entrance tests and be at par with any other student.
These centres can go online and provide recorded classes and people from far off places can download then and prepare for exams.
